Fact is, many smaller facilities were already running low on supplies even before start of COVID-19 crisis. So when the spread of #COVID19 started, while hospitals scrambled to stock up on protective gears and supplies they need, some nursing homes and smaller care facilities were left to defend themselves. With rise of cost and shortage of supplies, even hospitals with funds are having hard time getting supplies they need.
We were told many nursing homes and care facilities are unable to provide any masks, even to their staff members. Hearing that news, we decided to step up!
