SERVICE Act Passes Senate Committee on Veteran’s Affairs

The Supporting Expanded Review for Veterans in Combat Environments (SERVICE) Act of 2021 was “Ordered to be reported without amendment favorably (on 7/28/2021)” according to Bill Track 50.

The SERVICE Act of 2021, “authored by Sen. John Boozman (R-AR), would require the VA to conduct mammograms for women who served in areas associated with burn pits and other toxic exposures regardless of age, symptoms, or family history,” according to AuntMinnie.com.

AuntMinne further reports that the bill “has the support of the Disabled American Veterans, The Wounded Warrior Project, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and Burn Pits 360.”
